PAEA HOPES (Helping Other People through Extended Service)

OBJECTIVES:

PAEA members- centered

1. To promote PAEA's advocacy on reaching out to other Filipinos through art-related community services.
2. To extend PAEA's art training programs to other members of the community .
3. To further develop participating PAEA members ability to facilitate art related activities.
4. To strengthen the organization's partnership and linkages with various Local governmental organizations.
5. To foster a sense of camaraderie among the PAEA members.

Partner community centered

1. To learn various art activities based on their needs and capacity.
2. To realize that art can be therapeutic.
3. To create personal artworks that reflect their thoughts and emotions.
4. To promote appreciation and respect for the Filipino culture.
5. To build friendship with the participating PAEA members.

MANILA BOYS' TOWN COMPLEX PROFILE

The Manila Boys' Town Complex refers to the different residential programs of the
Department of Social Welfare. City of Manila, which are implemented by the
Division of Institution all located in 23 hectare compound in Parang, Marikina City.
These institutions are:

1. BOYS' HOME- a home for boys ages 8-16 years old who are abandoned, orphaned, physically abused, solvent users and street children of Manila which was established on June 6, 1947.
2. GIRLS' HOME- a home for girls ages 3 to 16 years old who are also abandoned, orphaned, physically and sexually abused, solvent users and street children of Manila which was established on October 3, 1962.
3. LUWALHATI NG MAYNILA, HOME FOR THE AGED – a home for unattached, abandoned, neglected and homeless elderly ages 60 years old and above found in the streets of Manila which was established on June 25, 1967.
4. FOUNDLING HOME- a home for younger boys ages 3 to 7 years old whose personal circumstances are similar to the residents of Boys' Home and Girls' Home which was established on November 17, 1971.

OBJECTIVES:

1. To provide for the basic needs of food, clothing, shelter and effective parental and social guidance.
2. To provide access to education, medical, dental and recreational services.
3. To ensure placement of orphans and the abandoned children through adoption and foster care: sponsorship and scholarship grants and job placement to the graduates.
4. To provide a home for homeless older persons and to enable them to be happy and useful in the remaining years of their lives.
